Start of Summer — Born Hour

Start of Summer opens Si month: fire climate begins after the wood cycle.

Overview

Li Xia (立夏) is the Jie at 45° opening Si (巳). Month command shifts toward fire-influenced weather.

Pentads: 蝼蝈鸣、蚯蚓出、王瓜生. Folk 'entering summer' rites include weighing people (称人) and egg games.

Charts: exact instant moves Month Pillar from Chen to Si. Residual heat/cold wording is local weather, not pillar logic.

Si hides Bing fire and Geng metal in classical branch models — fire is the commander, not the whole story of the branch.

Opens 巳 month.

Culture Custom

Weighing people at Li Xia is a southern Chinese playful rite for summer health wishes — not a medical prescription.

Three pentads: mole crickets sing; earthworms out; king melon vines.

Classical: summer means growth to fullness of form.

Month command: Si (巳) opens; fire climate begins.

Jie nodes can move the Month Pillar; Zhong Qi deepen the same month without switching branch.

Start of Summer is a calendrical node and cultural festival, not a weather guarantee or personal luck verdict.
